Filmed Media Evaluation

Powerpoint Evaluation

We used 'formsite.com' to construct a survey to give to our target audience in order to receive adequate feedback for our production. The surveys can be found at the below addresses;

Social networking site inclusion

To offer greater marketing for our film we decided that we would produce a viral marketing campaign through the creation of pages and groups on both ‘facebook’ and ‘twitter’. Both websites are global social networking sites used by a mass audience, which includes those in our target audience. Using online social networking sites like ‘facebook’ or ‘twitter’ to advertise and promote productions is a conventional and popular option in the film industry because of its low cost and huge potential to attract audiences. It only takes a simple click to progress the users interest from looking at the internet page to them wanting to find out information. Also with the ability to subscribe to the groups or account, potential audience members can be updated regularly on the status of the film.

The viral marketing campaign has proved to be a huge success in Hollywood blockbusters such as "The Dark Knight". In this instance, users had to enter details to reveal a pixel of an image. For other pixels to be revealed, others had to sign into the website and enter details until the whole of the image could be seen. Recently "The Fourth Kind" made use of the internet to create false news stories to attract attention to their film.

The groups can be found at the below addresses;
